MY MOST EFFECTIVE ROUTINES AND EXERCISES USING THE BEST MACHINES

Though you can certainly lose weight and tone up without it, the gym is where you will be able to make some of the most fitness gains. Adding resistance, instability, and variety will keep your body from getting comfortable and allow you to continue to transform it.

There are thousands of exercises you can do, but I’ve chosen my favorite moves that have proven successful in my own training. I’ve left out the tricky ones that can cause injury if performed incorrectly.

If you have a favorite move, go ahead and add it, or modify my moves when appropriate. When performing any strength exercise, deliberately squeeze the muscle that you are working at the peak range of motion. This extra bit of work will help you see results faster and ensure that the correct muscle is being used for the exercise.

If you love to take group exercise classes at your gym or in a studio, go ahead and take classes that correspond with your fitness plan. For example, take a spin class on a cardiovascular day or try a barre class on a strength day. Variation in your plan will prevent you from getting bored and keep you on track to getting skinny again.
